Depending on the nature of the request, the referral may be dealt with by telephone or by personal consultation. A management referral form will be sent for completion by email.
Advice on work related issues may be required for:
  • sickness absence, long or short term
  • work related injury e.g. upper limb disorder symptoms, accident at work
  • any concerns regarding an individual’s ability to carry out their contracted duties because of health issues
  • advice on reasonable adjustments in the workplace
  • pregnant workers
Referral outcomes will be sent to the referring manager within 5 working days of the consultation.
Health Initiatives has links with a number of Occupational Health Physicians around the UK who can provide consultations and advice where required.
Risk assessments are the responsibility of management. However, Health Initiatives can advise on aspects of risk assessments, particularly where they relate to a specific individual.
